Rare Rolex Big Logo Datejust ref 6605

Rolex Datejust 6605 with a Big Logo jubilee bracelet. The watch is produced in 1958 and has a beautiful patinated creamy yellow colored dial with arrow shaped markers. The radium dots developed a nice dark brown color and are intact. Furthermore this Rolex 6605 datejust is featured with a roulette date wheel, even days in red and the odd numbers in black.

Early Rolex datejust watch

This is a true collectors datejust, its one of the earliest datejust references and 18k yellow gold watches where extremely valuable in the 1950’s. The condition of the watch is fully original and well preserved. The case is strong and the bezel is extremely sharp too, the watch is fitted on the original rare Big Logo jubilee bracelet, the bracelet condition is good but shows wear on the links and the clip has been professionally  restored in the past (see last picture).

The dial of the watch deserves some extra attention, besides the untouched and beautiful condition it is the same dial as featured on the Rolex 6305 from Konrad Adenauer, also the patina of the dial shows many similarity with the former presidents watch.
